WM as an offset compensation mechanism is such a fascinating use of the tech, and I love that you've researched and shared some numbers here. Great, also, to see the Branch Magazine reference. . It does seem like Web Monetization could do realtime 'offsetting' in a way no other tech could. And I agree about Branc, it's really fantastic - and the work of Michelle (and Chris and everyone else) has been so good in bringing together the many people concerned about this.
