In this MG.Social State of the Network update video we discuss the latest feature added to the platform: post monetization controls.
Prior to this feature being rolled out, once a user set their web monetization payment pointer all postings they made to the site would be monetized.
At MG.Social our policy has always been that users are only to monetize their own original content. Now that an MG.Social user can control whether or not an individual posting is monetized they can safely share other people's content without risking breaking the terms of the site.

Cool looking site! Have you though of an option where MG.social would automatically retrieve the payment address from the page that is being linked (if there exists one)? This could be much more user friendly, where the author of the post wouldn't have to choose who get monetised, since the system could figure it out automatically.
